Dr.
Abramson's main research involves studies in childhood asthma. He has
conducted research to explore the development and use of interactive multimedia
computer technology and an asthma-specific computer expert system built
on an electronic medical record to assist with up-to-date asthma management
for inner-city minority children. Areas of focus include new approaches
to medical management, self-management, and environmental control that
can be generalized to community health care providers.
