Dr. Paul is a principal investigator of the NIAID-funded Pediatric AIDS Clinical Trials Group
Adolescent Initiative and also directs an effort at Baylor to focus attention on awareness of
HIV in uninfected teens and to get HIV-infected teens into treatment. Education efforts are
targeted to teens to enhance communication and success of therapy. She is principal
investigator of a NIH-funded project that follows the immunologic changes in HIV-infected
children over time, and of the Ryan White Title IV grant for AIDS and the Pediatric Spectrum
of Disease HIV/AIDS Surveillance Initiatives and Evaluation Service.
